Post-game Socials (Coordinator: Daphne Lee)
Assist with setup and sign-in at one of 3 Post-game social functions.
On the day of the Social, report to Heritage Hall at half-time and help with setup. Table and chair setup is usually done by facilities. Five minutes before the end of the game report to Heritage Hall; watch the rest of the game.
At the end of the game: two volunteers will take position at each of the entrances and direct Rebounders and guests to sign-in table; two volunteers will cover the sign-in table and two volunteers will oversee refreshment tables.
Pregame meals and/or tailgates (Coordinator: Daphne Lee)
Pre-game Meals are great opportunities to spend time with Rebounder friends and future friends before the games! Come alone or bring a friend. No RSVP required. All are welcome!
Want to host a pre-game meal?
Select a game date and pick a local restaurant! Contact the coordinator and let her know which game and which restaurant!. Arrive at the restaurant about fifteen minutes before meal time and greet others who join you. Some suggestions: pick a place that has prompt service; you may prefer a restaurant that offers separate checks. A good time for meals is two hours before game time. On popular game days you may want to start 2 ½ hours before game time.
Prefer out doors? host a tailgate! the location is parking lot 9b, next to Xifinity Center.
Once you pick the date, time and location for your tailgate, contact the coordinator with the information. A schedule of all pre-game meals/tailgate will be posted on www.UMRebounders.com and The UM Rebounders Facebook page.
Tee-shirt distribution (Coordinator: Jen Elkonoh)
Assist Jen Elkonoh in distributing tee-shirts to Rebounder members.
All Rebounders get an official Rebounder tee-shirt with membership.
The new shirts are distributed before selected games. Arrive at Xifinity Center one hour before game time, when the gate opens. Jen will contact volunteers with the date and location for distribution at Xfinity Center.
Scrapbooker (Coordinator: Barbara O’Hara)
Scrapbooker Responsibilities (NOTE: You do not have to take photographs)
A scrapbook is a collection of photographs, game stats, memorabilia, and personal reflections put together in an album to record the special time a player spends as a Terrapin.
Your job is to print the pictures, collect the above items, and any other memorable items, and assemble them into a memory album for your selected player.
The album and some scrapbook paper are provided to you, any other items you wish to purchase are at your expense.
This is a 4 (sometimes 5) year commitment that you are making. But you do not have to do it yourself-- find a partner and share the fun!
The completed scrapbook is presented by you to your player at the Annual Women’s Basketball Banquet.
The Rebounders have photographers who take photographs and make them available for your player scrapbook.
